Introduction
This unit the student will be introduced to government economic policy in the United States, including its primary objectives in terms of both fiscal and monetary policy. The second topic for the unit focuses on budget cycles that are inherent to any public organization at any level of government.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of the unit, students will be able to:

- Describe monetary policy and its relationship to the federal budget
- Explain how the budget priorities of the federal government have changed over the last 50 years.
