The demographic data presented in the Module Resources paint a very detailed, but often confusing, picture of aging in the United States and the broader global population. The Baby Boomers are a large and aging segment of the U.S. population. Their size, needs, attitudes, and so on are different from their parents’ generation (often referred to as the Greatest Generation) as are they different from their children’s generation (the echo boomers, GenX, or one of several other labels applied to them.)
Review the demographic data presented in the Module Resources. Pay particular attention to Demography Is Not Destiny, Revisited and the Living Old video and then discuss the following topic/question:
