It will be my honor to serve as your guide as we survey the field of child psychology, arguably the most fascinating and complex topic that there is.

How does a sperm and an egg become the most advanced being in the world? Humans are capable of logic, mathematics, science, music, architecture, literature, justice, poetry, and space travel, to name a few. We will be studying the development of the inner workings of the mind, the sum total of the electro-chemical activities of the human brain, the most complex object in the known universe.

Development means a “progressive unfolding that results in a qualitatively superior entity”. “Psychology” comes from two Greek words: logos means the systematic study of a thing and Psyche which originally meant the spirit or soul, but has now come to refer to the observable behaviors and internal mental events that give rise to human activities as simple as reflexes and as complex as love.
